Bottegando Italia was born in Verona, Italy, from the desire of Stefania and Sergio to create beautiful objects capable of instilling joy. Stefania is an internationally known artist who creates paintings, sculptures and artisanal and artistic creations using a broad palette of materials. Sergio, a lover and connoisseur of pens and oriental arts, especially Japanese, crafts hand-made fountain pens embellished with Urushi lacquer and complex Maki-e techniques.
Our watches are all made in Italy according to the rules of the best artisan manufacturing, combining our experience in the art of Maki-e with the best components and materials.
For our watches we only use mechanical movements, for their charm and respect for watchmaking tradition. The movements that power our watches are extremely robust and reliable, from Miyota-Citizen movements to Seiko SII and TMI movements to Swiss ETA, SPT, Sellita movements, capable of lasting over time and guaranteeing precision for years to come.
Each watch is assembled individually and with care, testing the movement and the water resistance of the cases. We only use cases made of surgical stainless steel and equipped with sapphire crystal because we want our watches to be resistant and usable in the most diverse conditions.
Our straps are also made by the most expert craftsmen with the best and most sophisticated leathers and materials to ensure an optimal fit and to underline the personality of each watch.
Each of our watches is a one of a kind piece numbered, branded and signed by the artist who created the Maki-e work. As with our pens, all our watches also have dials hand-lacquered with Japanese Urushi and decorated and finished with obsessive care using Maki-e techniques and gold, silver and other precious metal powders.
Our watches are works of art to be worn and passed down for generations.

Penna Stilografica Raden
The color and quality of the pen is beautiful, it has good weight to it. I bought it as a gift and the case it came in was so nice that I didn’t have to get separate gift wrap for it which was a pleasant surprise.
